the serem thing is..

Tiga bulan yang lalu, waktu gue lagi asik-asiknya jalan di koridor FISIP UI menuju kelas,
ada cewek yang manggil gue.

Dia: Eh, sori. Lo Raditya Dika bukan?
Gue: Iya..
Dia: Gue minta tanda tangan lo dong. (buru-buru) Eh bukan berarti gue ngefans ama lo ya! Ini buat temen gue yang suka baca buku lo! Bukan buat gue! Gue gak ngefans sama lo. INI BUAT TEMEN GUE!

Dalam hati gue, segitu hinakah kalau suka sama tulisan-tulisan gue? Hehe. Akhirnya, setelah mengurungkan niat untuk menggebug kepalanya pake tong sampah yang ada di deket gue, gue mengiyakan untuk menandatangani buku Radikus Makankakus yang dibawanya.

Gue: Ini buat temen lo?
Dia: Iya..
Gue: Dianya dimana?
Dia: Dia lagi dirawat di rumah sakit. Sakit bronchitis.

Bronchitis, kayaknya gue pernah denger penyakit itu di mana gitu. Gue mulai menerka penyakit apa itu.. Bronch- artinya segala sesuatu yang berhubungan dengan paru-paru, sedangkan -tis adalah kependekan dari testis. Jadi logikanya, bronchitis berarti penyakit di mana ada testis numbuh di paru-paru.

Gue: (sambil menandatangani) Bronchitis ya.. hmmm.. hmmm..
Dia: Bronchitis, radang paru-paru.
Gue: (lega) OOOOOOOOOHH! Oke, salam yah buat temen lo.

Kemarin, gue sedang berjalan di koridor yang sama, kali ini mau masuk kelas ujian Metode Penelitian Sosial yang diajar oleh dosen yang mirip banget sama dokter Boyke tapi dengan celana lebih sempit dan lebih “cowok”. Gue dipanggil oleh cewek yang sama.

Dia: Dit!
Gue: Eh elu..
Dia: Masih inget gue gak?
Gue: (sambil mengingat-ingat) Masih, masih. Gimana temen lo? Udah baikan belom?
Dia: Nah itu dia..
Gue: Apa?
Dia: Dia meninggal..
Gue: Hah? Yang bener lo?!
Dia: Iya.. Gue udah lama pengen ngasih tau lo. Tapi baru ketemu sekarang. Gue gak sempet ngasih dia buku yang lo tandatanganin itu.

Gue diem aja, gak tau harus ngapain. Ada keheningan yang engga enak. Kalau abis denger berita sedih seperti ini, gue bingung harus ngomong apa. Kalau diem aja, suasana tambah gak enak. Kalau gue nyanyi dengan histeris “Potong bebek angsa.. Masak di kuali.. ” untuk menyegarkan suasana, dikira nanti engga senstif. Dia ngomong lagi.

Dia: Tau gak, sebelum temen gue itu meninggal, gue sempet telpon-telponan ama dia, dia di telepon nyeritain cerita lo kebelet boker (baca: Radikus Makankakus, Gak.Bisa.Jongkok). Dia ketawa sambil batuk-batuk.. Makanya, pas gue baca buku lo, gue gak baca bagian itu..

Sehabis ngobrol dikit-dikit lagi, gue ke ruang ujian. Pikiran gue penuh sama cerita yang barusan gue denger. Sampai-sampai pas gue ujian, gue gak bisa ngejawab apa-apa (Oke, itu juga karena gue gak belajar sih). Intinya, it moved me. Di umur-umur segini, di mana udah ada temen yang meninggal duluan, gue jadi tersadarkan: gak ada yang abadi. Mungkin, itu tantangan kita sebagai manusia, bagaimana caranya supaya setelah kita mati nanti, masih ada orang yang menyebut nama kita untuk diobrolkan dengan orang lain. Bukan sekadar singgah, mati, dan terlupakan.

Atau mungkin, seharusnya dunia seperti apa yang ditulis Pramoedya,
di buku Bukan Pasar Malam:

“Dan di dunia ini manusia bukan berduyun-duyun lahir di dunia dan berduyun-duyun pula mati seperti dunia dalam pasar malam. Seorang-seorang mereka datang dan pergi. Dan, yang belum pergi dengan cemas-cemas menunggu saat nyawanya terbang entah kemana.”
